On the 23rd and 24th of January, the Episode project had its kick-off meeting hosted by the coordinator FAAM in Teverola near Naples, Italy, where all Episode consortium partners met face-to face for the first time.
After an informal lunch, all partners were first invited for a tour around the FAAM R&D facility and plant. After that, the Project Advisor (who was present online) provided insights into the formal processes on the EC funded project and Episode’s obligations towards CINEA, followed by introductions by all the partners and the key persons involved in the research and development activities of the Episode project.
On the second day, an overview of the Episode work plan was presented and all work package leaders provided an overview of their tasks and (expected) interlinkage and timing with other activities.
In summary, the kick-off meeting at FAAM in Italy was very successful, thanks to the active participation of all involved parties. The Episode project is off to a promising start as it endeavours to develop and demonstrate mass manufacturing sodium batteries towards stationary storage application.
